President's Report
Caroline Allen
Welcome to Warragul Theatre Company’s production of The Game’s Afoot!
This witty, fast-paced murder mystery invites you into the glamorous and unpredictable world of Broadway star William Gillette. What begins as a festive holiday gathering quickly turns into a night of intrigue, laughter, and suspense — where nothing (and no one!) is quite what it seems.
At the helm of this sparkling production is our talented director Justin Stephens. Though Justin has directed many shows before, this marks his first time directing for Warragul Theatre Company, and what a debut it is! His vision, creativity, and infectious enthusiasm have truly brought The Game’s Afoot to life. A huge thank you also goes to our dedicated cast, who have poured countless hours into rehearsals to deliver such a fabulous performance. Their energy, teamwork, and passion have been a joy to watch. Behind the scenes, just as vital to the magic, is our incredible crew — our production manager, the hardworking costume team, props team, stage manager, marketing team, crew and transport — all working tirelessly to ensure the show runs like clockwork (or perhaps like a cleverly concealed murder plot!).
Special mention must go to Terry for his copious hours building the set, and to Kathryn and Natalie, whose creative talents have made it look absolutely stunning. Once again, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the West Gippsland Arts Centre for their continued support and partnership in bringing community theatre to life.
So, sit back, keep your detective’s hat on, and prepare for an evening of laughter, mystery, and a few delightful surprises. Enjoy the show!
